Andy Lewis is a writer, artist, and filmmaker. Originally from the UK, Andy is now based in Toronto where he works in the film scene and teaches Screenwriting and Film History at Toronto Film School.
He wrote, produced, and costume-designed the 2020 feature, Cup of Cheer, which topped the Canadian Box Office for its two week theatrical run. It has been released on Tubi, CBC Gem, Amazon Prime, and on-demand. The film was in the Sky's Top 25 Rental Charts for a month in the UK and featured at Cinequest Film Festival. It received a four star review from The National Post, and positive reviews from The Globe and Mail and CBC’s Eli Glasner.
In 2022, he created, co-wrote, co-directed, produced, and costume-designed the TV series Sunshine City for Bell Media and OUTtv. He currently is in post-production for a short film he wrote, directed, produced, and costume-designed for, and Boy City, the feature film he costume-designed alongside director Sean Cisterna, premiered at Whistler Film Festival in 2022.
He is also a published author and poet in several anthologies, festivals, and zines, including his pieces ‘No Offence’ and ‘rainbow’. RED TAPES will be his debut poetry collection. He plans to incorporate his various creative skills to expand RED TAPES beyond just poetry.
